SELF-PRESERVATION AT ALL COSTS ISN'T LEADERSHIP

The topic of self-preservation at all costs keeps surfacing in conversations - in organizations and in society. Silence around it feels a bit too much like complicity for my liking.

It's not new.

It's actually old - tired - played out.

Too many people holding leadership seats hostage do it and too often they seem to get away with it.

That's not leadership. That's not winning.

If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about.

If you're one who is doing it, you're trying to hide in plain sight, and you know what I'm talking about too.

If you don't see it all, I wonder if you are paying attention.

Intention matters and it's often transparent.

This is a dose of the real talk I'm bursting with these days. This is one of the things I want to disrupt.
