#SUNDAYSTORIES | FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME

I don't have a cycling story for you today bc I've been in my hometown visiting family.
What I do have for you though, is a story inspired by a women's Club Lacrosse game today at my Alma Matter - The University of Michigan.
The thing that struck me more than them whooping The Ohio State by 10 points 👏 was that these Club athletes were having fun out there, playing that hard to win together, FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME. I'm sure each athlete has their own reasons but at the end of the day they aren't playing for the sake of scholarship money.
FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME these athletes want to be there - with each other - practicing - traveling - competing to win as Team. I started wondering where the parallels are to work and careers - and quickly realized it. 👇
The truth is, the majority of Folks work for the pay, and it often seems like a rarity or luxury to love the game of work AND to be able to galvanzie a team of surrounding colleagues and staff.
I do believe it's possible though and I'm grateful to have experienced it at different points on my journey including recently. 🙌
As we head into the week ahead #LEADERS - let's consider what it could take to love the game of our work and unite our teams to fight together through wins and losses.
