SUNDAY STORIES | LEADERSHIP INSPIRED BY PEATY 🐶🥰
By now, anyone who knows, is connected to and/or follows me, knows about our furry kid, Peaty. She's rowdy and loving. She has a fierce sense of loyalty, and definitely beats to her own drum. I adore her and love to take her bikejoring (a.k.a riding bikes w/ us). See below for outtakes from yesterday & today which brought me here to tell you a little story about leadership inspired by her.

Her focus is moving forward, finishing the run, learning and enjoying along the way - TOGETHER - which is amazing. Okay, okay, she also focuses on stopping to breakdance in the snow AND to freak out about any dogs we pass, but that's ok. 🤷♀️ It's all a part of the journey.
Leading in work (and life) isn't too dissimilar. It's leading in front, behind and beside. It is learning and enjoying it together along the way. It definitely includes pausing to play along the way AND we all have our freak outs. At least I do. 🙋♀️ It's all part of the journey.
The biggest thing here is no matter if it's Peaty, me, you or another - "leading" is not always from the front.
Effective leadership is about leading in front - from behind (a.k.a supporting & following) - and by the side of others (guiding & learning together) .
