WHEN THE LANDSCAPE LOOKS DIFFERENT
On the bike/off the bike thoughts coming at you ...
This picture was from just over a year ago. It was the first time I tried and managed to make it down this gnarly section on a local trail. I was so excited and grateful. The times before, I would look at the rocky bermed descent and all I could see was the boulders and gaps.
Since this picture I've practiced this descent and others a lot more gnarly. Today I ripped this and realized the landscape looks and feels different to me at this point.
Off the bike it's not much different.
Experience and practice over time can change the way we see the landscape in life. It doesn't get easier, but it does give us the opportunity to evolve - to become more adept at navigating - to rip through what was once seemingly impassable.
Point is - in large part many of us actually can evolve into new landscapes - new realities.
